About the CCW Part 2 Class:

The training requirements for obtaining a Colorado Concealed Carry Permit change on July 1st, 2025. Moving forward, we will offer the required class in two 4-hour parts. Part 1 will be classroom only and Part 2 will be conducted on a live gun range. It is your responsibility to sign up for and attend BOTH parts. This class is the Part 2 class.

Additionally, if you are renewing, this class is for you. This class, on its own, meets all three requirements for a qualifying renewal class.

Content will include:

• Important range gear
• Range Etiquette and Range Rules
• Common Range Commands
• Concepts of Aiming
• Iron Sights and Red Dots (Pistol Optics) Overview
• Proper loading and unloading procedures
• Effective shooting stances
• Proper firearm grip
• Trigger Manipulation
• Overcoming common challenges and barriers
• Ready positions
• Recoil management
• Cleaning demonstration
• Ammo ballistics

What Do You Have To Bring?

For this class, the student can either provide their own gear (below) or, for $40, you can rent all the requisite gear including ammo from the instructor. If you need to rent gear, please make that request in advance of the class so the instructor can be sure to have sufficient gear for everyone.

For this class you will need the following:

• Government-issued photo ID
• A handgun in any caliber.
• 100 rounds of ammunition for the handgun
• Eye and ear protection
• While not required, things move faster and the class will be more enjoyable if you can bring at least 1 extra magazine for your semi-automatic or at least 1 speedloader for your revolver
