About the CCW Class:

This class is designed for students acquiring their initial MN Permit to Carry. This class will cover all the necessary curriculum required by the MN Bureau of Criminal Apprehension (BCA) to apply for your MN Permit to Carry (CCW). ​

This class will cover the specific elements looked for by prosecutors when determining “self-defense”, the firearm in relation to the owner, and understanding the proper mindset when it comes to carrying in defense of you and yours.

Class time will be 3-4 hours (depending on amount of student questions) and the range time will be 2 hours (total, individual times can vary depending on experience). This class is recognized by the MN BCA as course to certify you to receive a MN Permit to Carry.

You will receive a Certificate of Completion which is a requirement to apply for your Permit to Carry at your local Sheriff Department office. ​

How Do I Apply For My CCW License After the Class?

After the class, you will walk out with a class completion certificate signed by the instructor. From there you just need to visit your county sheriff’s office and apply. Don’t worry. We’ll give you detailed instructions and set you up before you leave the class.
