More About The Columbia, South Carolina CCW Class:

This class not only teaches the SLED required course and qualification exam, it prepares and guides the student for the concealed carry lifestyle. Upon completion, students are given a comprehensive resource packet to take home that summarizes the content of the class as well as a list of invaluable resources to aid in the concealed carry lifestyle.

This class typically lasts 8 hours. You will be taught the fundamentals of proper and safe pistol handling and firing in a safe and comfortable environment with one of the state’s best instructors. The first part of the course is going over SC Legal aspects, which covers but is not limited to:

• SC law of self-defense
• SC Common Law
• Legal use of deadly force
• Castle Doctrine
• Alter Ego Act
• Designated “No concealed weapons allowed” areas

The second part of the course covers firearm safety:

• Safe handling and unloading of a firearm
• Cleaning your firearm
• Safe storage of your firearms and ammunition
• Proper grip and sight alignment
• Marksmanship fundamentals

The third part of the course covers CCW Lifestyle including:

• Clothing and concealment
• Ongoing training and education
• Self-defense insurance, gear
• Mental Aspects
• Much Much More!

Shooting qualification:

After the classroom part of the course is completed, students will shoot a target with multiple strings of fire to qualify for their CWP.

All strings of fire are 5 rounds each at a distance of: 3,5,7,10,12, and 15 yards.

He believes no one should ever be a victim and strives to make a difference one student at a time. How Do I Apply For My CCW License After the Class?

After the class, you will walk out with a class completion certificate signed by the instructor. From there you just need to visit your county sheriff’s office and apply. Don’t worry. We’ll give you detailed instructions and set you up before you leave the class.
