About the New Jersey CCW Class:

This course is for individuals pursuing a concealed carry permit, permit renewal, or those wanting to enhance personal safety. It is focused training that emphasizes legal compliance, good judgment, and responsible decision-making when carrying a concealed handgun. Instruction includes classroom lessons with hands-on practice such as holster draws and laser target training and range time with the CCARE live-fire qualification.

What Do You Have To Bring?

For this class, the student can either provide their own gear (below) or, for $20, you can rent all the requisite gear from the instructor. It is important to us that you don’t let any lack of gear keep you from taking this class. $20, and we’ll lend you the gun, ammo, eye and ear protection, holster, and whatever you need. If you need to rent gear, please make that request in advance of the class so the instructor can be sure to have sufficient gear for everyone. Ammunition can be purchased on site if you are unable to purchase it in advance.

For this class you will need the following:

• Government-issued photo ID
• NJ Firearms ID card (if applicable)
• The handgun you plan to carry and qualify with (can be any caliber)
• An outside the waistband holster and spare magazine carrier
• 100 rounds of ammunition for the handgun
• Note taking materials
• Eye and ear protection
• While not required, things move faster and the class will be more enjoyable if you can bring at least 1 extra magazine for your semi-automatic or at least 1 speedloader for your revolver
